We will finally find out what Ray J Dennis is going to do after 2 months of Portal Combat, Obviously, this is an important piece to the Illinois puzzle, but the Illini got a massive pair of puzzle pieces back on Wednesday night when Coleman Hawkins and Terrence Shannon announced their return. Let's look at that first before we break down the Dennis recruitment:

Illinois took a commitment from Saddleback Community College Center Will Leys over the weekend, and it has Illini watchers scratching their heads for a couple of reasons. 

6-foot-10 forward Coleman Hawkins has withdrawn from NBA Draft and elected to return to the Illinois men’s basketball program the upcoming 2023-24 season.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- In what was designed to be a one-off special at Illinois, there will now be a sequel for Terrence Shannon Jr.

The Illinois guard, who just finished his only season with the Illini as a transfer player with a first-team, All-Big Ten Conference campaign, announced on social media (fill in the day of the week) his plans to forego the 2023 NBA Draft in order to return to the Illini program for his fifth year of college basketball.
