CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- In what was designed to be a one-off special at Illinois, there will now be a sequel for Terrence Shannon Jr.
The Illinois guard, who just finished his only season with the Illini as a transfer player with a first-team, All-Big Ten Conference campaign, announced on social media (fill in the day of the week) his plans to forego the 2023 NBA Draft in order to return to the Illini program for his fifth year of college basketball.
