If you’re one of the folks who clammered for Isaiah Williams to get more time under center as the Illini staggered to a losing season, then Tony Petersen’s remarks on Monday were probably encouraging.
The Illini’s new offensive coordinator said there will be a quarterback competition between Brandon Peters and Isaiah Williams.
“Both of those guys have the ability to run the system easily, and it can be tweaked around either guy,” Petersen said.
