Jake Renfro Named to Rimington Trophy Watch List

Illinois seventh-year center Jake Renfro was nominated among 40 projected starting centers named to The Rimington Trophy watch list.

CHAMPAIGN — For the first time this summer, Illinois has a player on a preseason watch list.

Illinois center Jake Renfro has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Rimington Trophy, released Thursday by the Rimington Trophy Committee. The 24-year-old transfer from Cincinnati and Wisconsin, who is entering his seventh year of college football, was one of 40 players listed . . .
