Illinois Finds Secondary Help in Corey Parker’s Backyard of Detroit

Three-star defensive back Darryl Flemister of Martin Luther King High School in Detroit verbally commits to Illinois just days after a Father’s Day weekend official visit.

One of the many reasons Corey Parker was hired in May 2024 was to create a recruiting pathway to the Illini football program from the talent-rich area of Detroit. 

The recent verbal commitment of three-star defensive back Darryl Flemister from Detroit’s Martin Luther King High School is what Parker and his boss . . .
