CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Adalia McKenzie scored 14 points, but was the only Illini in double figures as Illinois was held to a season low point total in a 66-51 loss at Southern Illinois.

The Salukis took control with an early 16-0 run and never looked back, as the Illini (5-6) surrendered 16 offensive rebounds in the first half.  The extra chances allowed SIU to extend their lead to 34-18 just before halftime.

Makenzie Silvey led all scorers with 19 points for Southern Illinois (5-4).  Gabby Walker added 17 and Laniah Randle 10 for the Salukis.  Kendall Bostic grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds for Illinois.

The Illini now return home for the Braggin' Rights game against Missouri on Wednesday.  That will be a 12pm tipoff at State Farm Center.
