Illini Summer Notes: Quentin Coleman Has the Tools to Make an Immediate Impact for Illinois

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Few freshmen arrive on campus with as much excitement as Quentin Coleman.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard from St. Louis is Illinois' highest-rated incoming freshman. ESPN ranked Coleman as the nation's No. 24 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, and his ranking suggests he is ready to compete immediately at the Big Ten level.
