CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Illinois football team stayed at #9 in the AP Top 25, the Associated Press announced Sunday. Illinois is ranked #8 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, a one-spot rise following the 38-0 shutout victory over Western Michigan.

Illinois travels to #19 Indiana on Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff on NBC. The Illini and Hoosiers will meet in a top-25 matchup for the second time ever and the first time since October 28, 1950 when #12 Illinois beat #19 Indiana, 20-0, in Champaign.

The #9 AP ranking is Illinois' highest since December 2001.
