SEATTLE, Wash. - Demond Williams Jr. threw for four touchdowns as Washington pummeled 23rd ranked Illinois 42-25 in Big Ten play Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies (6-2, 3-2 in Big Ten) rolled up 449 yards of offense, the 5th Illinois opponent to amass 400 yards or more this season. The Illini (5-3, 2-3) have lost four of those games.

Illinois scored back-to-back second quarter touchdowns to take a 17-14 lead. But Williams engineered an 11-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in just over a minute to put the Huskies on top at halftime, 21-17.

In an effort reminiscent of Illinois' blowout loss at Indiana last month, Washington took advantage of Illinois' inability to make stops in crucial moments throughout the game. Of the Huskies' first 9 attempts on 3rd down, they converted 8 of them.

Williams finished with 26 completions on 33 attempts for 280 yards and rushed for another 66 yards.

Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer was 22 of 34 for 199 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions after getting picked off just once all year.

The loss in front of 68,630 leaves the Illinois program winless in Seattle since 1950 and the setback effectively takes the Illini out of the College Football Playoff conversation.

The Illini return to action next Saturday at home against Rutgers (11am CT, NBC).
