Football Recruiting Spotlight on Bennett Konkey

Illinois made its biggest addition for the 2027 class so far when Bennett Konkey of Geneva committed to the Illini over several Big Ten offers plus Iowa State. Konkey is a track athlete who brings legitimate speed to the position in addition to legitimate size and strength. Playing for the mighty Geneva Vikings in the surprisingly strong DuKane conference, Konkey totaled 41 catches for 739 yards and 9 touchdowns.
