Michael Kostantonov, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound offensive tackle from Wilmette, Illinois, will be in Champaign this weekend as one of several recruits on campus to see the Fighting Illini play Northwestern.
"I don't have an offer yet but hopefully soon; they are starting to talk to me more, but as of right now Nebraska and Northwestern are talking to me the most. This visit will certainly help things," Kostantonov said.
Getting on campus is very important, as is knowing some players on the team.
Kostantonov said, "Definitely seeing my two buddies that play there, Josh Kruetz and Jack Badovinac and meeting the coaches and feeling the game day environment."
This weekend could be a game changer for Kostantonov because his friends and staff appear to be selling him on all the great things Illinois has to offer.
IlliniGuys.com asked Kostantonov that if he received an offer would he accept it.
"Oh, without a doubt I would commit my senior year, of course, because I'm only a junior," he said.
Kostantonov said he plans to keep IlliniGuys informed about his recruitment as it moves forward.
