CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With March approaching and postseason implications looming, Illinois basketball finds itself in a familiar but increasingly complicated position: competing in the present while keeping one eye firmly on the future.
It has been a strong season on the hardwood for Illinois head coaches Brad Underwood and Shauna Green. After the Wisconsin game, Underwood’s men will have six regular-season contests remaining, while Green’s women will have four games left following Wednesday’s matchup against the Wisconsin Badgers.
Both teams appear to be firmly in the NCAA Tournament . . .
