CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini football program has rolled up its sleeves and gone to work. When it comes to recruiting, they are currently one of the best in the country with their 2026 class.

Kayden Bennett, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound outside linebacker from Suffield (Conn.) Academy is the latest addition. The three-star Class of 2026 prospect committed to Illinois shortly after his weekend visit, saying he found his home, to play his college football at the University of Illinois . . .
