Illinois junior Jackson Buchanan is within two shots of the individual medalist honor after posting consecutive 1-over-par 71s in the first two rounds of the Big Ten Championships.

Jackson Buchanan has put himself in a position to be the first player in five years to bring an individual medalist trophy back to Champaign from the Big Ten Men’s Golf Championship.

The junior from Dacula, Ga., who is currently ranked No. 34 in the Official World Golf Amateur Rankings, fired a second straight round . . .
