Illinois Elijah Mc-Cantos Enters Transfer Portal

Illinois' defensive back Elijah Mc-Cantos, a 6-foot-0, pound prep from Miami (Fla.), has decided to enter the transfer portal. Mc-Cantos, who played in eight games last season as a redshirt freshman, leaves the Illini program with three years of eligibility remaining.

In a heartfelt statement posted on (X) this afternoon, Mc-Cantos expressed gratitude for the opportunities he's had at Illinois. "First and foremost, I would like to thank god for blessing me with a talent and the love for a sport . . .
