The B1G basketball season is right around the corner. With fans back in the seats and the B1G conference stacked with powerful teams at the top of the conference, it's time to predict what will happen.

The IlliniGuys staff - Brad Sturdy, Larry Smith, Mike Cagley, Kedric Prince, and Matt Stevens - sat down and hammered out their predictions for the 2021-2022 B1G men's basketball season. This is the order in which the IlliniGuys staff anticipates the standings will look like at the end of the season:

1 - Illinois

2 - Purdue

3 - Michigan

4 - Ohio State

5 - Maryland

6 - Indiana

7 - Michigan State

8 - Rutgers

9 - Wisconsin/Iowa (tie)

11 - Nebraska

12 - Penn State

13 - Northwestern

14 - Minnesota
