ABOUT THE OPPONENT

Oregon makes its first trip to Champaign as a member of the Big Ten and holds a 9-3 record on the season. The Ducks, 0-1 in conference play, dropped their first-ever B1G contest in a 66-53 defeat to No. 6 USC on Dec. 7.

Saturday's game marks Oregon's first true road contest of the season, as the Ducks spent a large chunk of their nonconference slate at home. Oregon is 9-1 on its home court this season, while the team suffered two neutral-site defeats against Georgia Tech and South Dakota State at the Hawai'i North Shore Showcase on Nov. 25-26.

The Ducks earned a ranked win over No. 12 Baylor on Nov. 10, while they also have a Power 4 victory against Auburn.

ALL-TIME SERIES INFORMATION

In the fourth all-time meeting between the sides, the Ducks and the Fighting Illini will square off as Big Ten opponents for the first time on Saturday. Oregon holds a narrow 2-1 edge in the series.

This will not be the Ducks' first trip to Champaign, though. The teams last played on Dec. 12, 2012, when Illinois posted an 80-62 home victory. Oregon claimed wins over the Orange and Blue in 1994 and 2011.
