AUSTIN, Texas -- The third time was not the charm for the Illini volleyball team, as they saw their season end Thursday night at the hands of Nebraska.

The 10th seed Cornhuskers, who swept Illinois in both regular season meetings, did it again in the regional semifinal match of the NCAA tournament - 25-12, 25-21, 25-17.  Kennedy Collins led Illinois with eight kills while Jessica Nunge recorded seven.

The loss leaves the Illini with a final record of 22-12.  Nebraska (24-7) moves on to Saturday night's regional final, where they will face host and 2-seed Texas with a Final Four berth on the line.
