CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Bret Bielema continues his poaching of the former Ball State coaching staff over the past few seasons.

Jared Elliott will be in charge of the tight end position on Bielema’s Illinois coaching staff starting with this spring practices in preparation for the upcoming 2026 season and the 39-year-old brings 18 years of collegiate coaching experience, including four seasons as a head coach and seven years in coordinator roles.
