The typical late-game Illini lockdown defense showed up again Sunday night vs. Maryland. The trouble is the Illinois shooting was firing blanks as well.
Darryl Morrell had 19 points as the Terrapins shocked the 12th ranked Illini 66-63 to score their 2nd Big Ten road upset this season. Maryland knocked off then-6th ranked Wisconsin in Madison two weeks ago.
