Both Illinois senior Jackson Buchanan and Illini squad hold multi-shot leads after day one of the 2025 NCAA Urbana Regional.

URBANA, Ill. — Jackson Buchanan is back where he feels he’s always belonged all season - the top of a leaderboard.

It was almost as if the Illinois senior star needed to take one final look at the amateur world rankings and the PGA Tour University rankings to realize who he was and still is.

Over 18 holes of the opening round of the NCAA Urbana Regional, the 23-year-old . . .
