Week 3 of the college football season is upon us and finally a decision out of Columbus.  Ohio State coach Ryan Day naming Kyle McCord as his starting quarterback moving forward, just days ahead of hosting Western Kentucky and a week before the 6th ranked Buckeyes showdown with #9 Notre Dame.

2nd ranked Michigan is a 40-point favorite over Bowling Green Saturday.  So why are the Falcons getting special attention from certain members of the Wolverines' staff?

It was in their 39-28 loss to Washington a year ago in Seattle when the wheels began to come off the Spartans' season.  Saturday, the Huskies are in East Lansing as the 8th ranked team in the country and a heavy favorite to beat down Michigan State.  Despite all that, the Spartans can't wait to get on the field after the Mel Tucker scandal that removed their head coach from the program and brought in former head coach Mark Dantonio as an associate head coach to help out.  For those who just want to talk about the game, here are some details:

Iowa is back in the AP Top 25 (#25) after beating rival Iowa State in Ames to get coach Kirk Ferentz his 200th win.  This week, Western Michigan comes in as the Hawkeyes deal with more fallout from the gambling scandal, as defensive tackle Noah Shannon learned his collegiate career is over.
