The Fighting Illini basketball staff felt that they could land as many as three commitments in the first couple of weeks in April.  You can now up that prediction to four.

After a stellar weekend, 2022 shooting guard A.J. Storr of Compass Prep (AZ) called today to commit to play for Illinois.

Storr is rated as a 3-star prospect, but that's only because he hasn't been seen by coaches due to the pandemic.  He is a first-class talent who transferred from Kankakee High School this school year in order to play his junior season.  Experts agree Storr would have blown up on the AAU circuit this summer, which is why it was so important for Brad Underwood and staff to lock him up before that happened.

IlliniGuys members may already know that Storr is a high school teammate of elite 2021 PG and Illini recruit TyTy Washington, which adds more intrigue to this commitment.
