QB2 Battle Starts Now: Illini Using Preseason Camp to Choose Between Boyd & Clayton

Illinois coaches are using this month-long preseason camp in August to find out who will be the backup quarterback behind Katin Houser.

CHAMPAIGN — The Illinois quarterbacks got a new piece of equipment before the start of preseason camp.

In order to see where their eyes are specifically looking during all live portions of a practice rep for the first time, Illinois coaches had a POV camera attached to the front of each signal caller’s helmet just above the facemask.
